ORGANIC MODERN MARVEL
Embarking on this kitchen remodel, we knew we wanted a quieter palette, to modernize and develop expansiveness, and to bring lightness and brightness into the space. We began by squaring the layout and the archways that led in and out of the room. Taking advantage of 11 foot ceilings created a feeling of grandness that draws the eye up and elevates the scale. Smart and expanded cabinetry maximizes storage and daily functionality for the busy working professionals who inhabit the home. Finishes added softness through organic, textural qualities — neutral shades in the honed tile, two-tone millwork is both grounding and light, soft veining offers movement in the quartzite countertops, and the beautiful texture of the plaster range hood whispers like travertine. Accents of natural brass pop a bit of shine.
